Boutique fitness studio,designed and built.

Concept 00 FORM.

The brief,as we set it.

A studio with four disciplines, two rooms and every class coached to music.
A boutique studio in Leeds (ride, box, lift and stretch) whose members book through an app in somebody else's colours and whose website is a gallery of stock photographs. The site has to feel like the room before anyone has been in it, put the week's timetable one scroll from the top, and turn a first visit into a first week.

Four decisions,read off the page.

The site is running in the frame. Scroll, and it moves to whatever the note beside it is about.
01

The energy arrives before the words

Expanded black italic, an equaliser moving under it and one full stop in volt. A studio sells a feeling before it sells a class, and the opening has it before anyone reads a line, with the next class counting down beside it, which is the question every visitor is actually asking.

02

Each class, with its kit moving

Four cards, one per discipline, each with a drawing of its equipment that moves its own way: a flywheel spins, a bag swings, a plate turns, a breath goes in and out. Duration, capacity and intensity sit underneath, so the choice is made on the card.

03

The timetable is the studio's own

A week of tabs and four filters, every class with its coach and how full it is. Volt marks what is live: the book buttons, and the count when five places or fewer are left, which is the number that makes someone book now.

04

Say what it costs

The first week as an offer on a band of volt, then three ways to pay with the one most people choose marked. No joining fee and no contract, said beside the prices rather than in the small print.

Its own type,its own colours.

Nothing on the concept uses our fonts or our palette. A concept dressed in the studio's colours is the studio's site with the words changed.
