What it is made of
Four materials.
Nothing we cannot fix.
We keep the list short on purpose. Fewer materials means fewer things to go wrong, and a workshop that knows every one of them.
- OakEuropean, air-dried, oiled not lacquered, so a scratch sands out.
- AshPale and springy. Bent for the Arc's arms, where oak would split.
- LinenWoven in Northern Ireland. Every cover zips off and goes in the wash.
- Wool boucléUndyed, from one mill in Yorkshire. Pills less every year.
